Village Health is excited to announce the launch of SkinScope, a dedicated skin check clinic in Spreydon, Christchurch, for the early detection of melanoma and other skin cancers plus ongoing skin surveillance.

Dr Eve Fitzgerald and Dr Nicole Anderson are both GP specialists with extended scope for skin cancer medicine.

Total Body Photography

Total Body Photography (known as TBP) is the most effective technique for imaging all spots on a your full body. SkinScope uses Dermengine’s streamlined software and intelligent analytics in conjunction with our skin cancer doctors to document and track your moles and spots.

A personalised 3D body map is created and integrated directly into your patient record.

Dr Eve Fitzgerald and Dr Nicole Anderson are both GP specialists with an extended scope in skin cancer identification and management.

 

Drs Eve and Nicole work collaboratively to ensure the best management of your skin spots.

They are excited to be part of the launch of SkinScope by Village Health and to be using the most advanced technology provided by Dermengine and Optimascan.

Dr Eve Fitzgerald

FRNZCGP, MBChB, Cert Advanced Dermoscopy and Cert Clinical Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery (SCCA)

Initially training in general surgery, Eve transitioned to General Practice as her family grew. She uses her expert surgical skills to perform complex skin cancer excisions. She has undertaken advanced training in New Zealand, Australia and the USA in both dermoscopy and the medical and surgical management of skin cancer (Skin Cancer College of Australasia).

Dr Eve Fitzgerald is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College Australasia. This means that she has successfully completed a high level of training with the College and has proven skills in the diagnosis, treatment and management of skin cancer.

Dr Nicole Anderson

FRNZCGP, MBChB Dip Obs, Dip Int Health, Dip Trav Health, Cert Dermoscopy & Cert Skin Cancer Medicine (SCCA)

Nicole has over 30 years’ experience as a GP. She developed her interest in skin cancer medicine while working in Brisbane and undertook initial dermoscopy training there in 2011. Returning to NZ in 2022, she undertook the Skin Cancer College of Australasia’s certificates in Dermoscopy and in Skin Cancer Medicine. She has been doing regular skin checks and diagnostic biopsies as well as standard skin cancer excisions.
