Our Team

Beth trained in Manchester, before moving to Christchurch in 2013. She has an extended role in breastfeeding medicine, and her areas of special interest are women’s and children’s health. When not at work she can be found juggling the joys of raising two young children, crocheting and playing the piano.

Joan is an experienced GP having worked part time in Christchurch for many years. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a special interest in heart disease. She finds building a relationship with patients and their whanau very rewarding. Outside work interests include walking, reading and watching sport.

Eve is a specialist General Practitioner with additional training in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. She has undertaken advanced training through the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and now works exclusively in the field of skin cancer care. She has a special interest in minor surgical procedures and is also trained to perform skin grafts and flap repairs. Dr Eve Fitzgerald is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College Australasia. This means that she has successfully completed a high level of training with the College and has proven skills in the diagnosis, treatment and management of skin cancer.

Jinhee was born in South Korea and moved with her family to Christchurch at a young age. She graduated from medical school at the University of Otago and has experience in a wide variety of specialties including paediatrics, completing a postgraduate Diploma in Child Health during her time working at Christchurch Hospital. Jinhee enjoys the variety of General Practice and being able to work alongside patients throughout their health journey. In her spare time she loves travelling, both within New Zealand and overseas.

Erin is a caring and dedicated GP who values building long-term relationships with her patients and their families. She graduated from Otago University in 2017 and has a Postgraduate Certificate in Women's Health. As a part-time GP, Erin balances her work with raising her two young children. She loves spending time outdoors with them, watching them explore and learn new things. She believes in a patient-centred approach to healthcare and enjoys supporting patients through all stages of life.

Janine is a very experienced GP who is particular about detail, and works hard to ensure nothing is missed. It is great to walk life’s journey with a wide variety of interesting and wonderful people and navigate the health challenges that arise. When not at Village Health, she is working in the health system. This includes being a clinical editor writing expert GP advice for online resources.

Nicole spent her early GP career in Christchurch including Lincoln Rd Medical Practice. She then spent 13 years overseas working in Vietnam, Australia and Qatar, returning to NZ in 2022. She has enjoyed many trips volunteering in SE Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Her areas of special interest are Travel Medicine, Skin cancer and really - all fields of family medicine. Outside of work – of course she loves travelling, nature walks in our beautiful Aotearoa and Nanna dates with her 7 grandchildren.

Miriam has a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine and has additional qualifications in Paediatrics and Women's Health. Miriam really encourages all her patients to consider their lifestyle as a strong driver of their health, that is: diet, exercise, sleep and reducing smoking and alcohol. Miriam loves the variety of General Practice and the privilege of walking alongside people in their health journeys. You will no doubt see her if you book into an acute clinic, need a steroid injection or MRI referral for your back or neck. And don't forget to ask her about cats
